Garden Center Conference & Expo co-locates with GardenComm Conference & Expo

2023 events offer exciting new opportunities for collaboration

VALLEY VIEW, Ohio Garden retailers, suppliers and communicators will come together in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in August for a brand-new opportunity to network, learn and collaborate. In 2023, the Garden Center Conference & Expo will be co-locating with the annual GardenComm Conference & Expo for an event like no other.

From Aug. 2-4, 2023, independent garden center professionals from across the U.S. and Canada will convene at the Hilton Minneapolis to learn, connect and grow at second annual Garden Center Conference & Expo. At the same time, GardenComm will be celebrating the 75th anniversary of its annual conference featuring exclusive garden visits, extensive education and more.

“Hosting the Garden Center Conference & Expo side by side with GardenComm’s annual event will bring together innovators and educators from across the entire garden retail industry,” said Kate Spirgen, editor of Garden Center magazine. “There’s no other place garden center teams can get this level of education and discussion. And now, with added access to GardenComm’s content creators, there are even more resources to help IGCs reach new audiences.”

Building on the resounding success of its 2022 event, Garden Center magazine is excited to offer an even bigger, better event for IGC executives, managers and team leaders. As the industry continues to change and grow, it’s more important than ever to bring attendees and sponsors together for a one-of-a-kind event where the whole industry can discuss the biggest opportunities and challenges facing the garden retail market today.

“The Garden Center Conference & Expo was created with the goal of bringing the entire IGC marketplace together to grow their businesses and help push the industry forward,” says Nick Collins, publisher. “GardenComm’s content creators are an important part of our industry so it only feels right to bring everyone together in one location to network and collaborate with the most innovative minds in the industry.”

Celebrating 75 years of communications excellence, GardenComm’s annual conference is attended by the industry’s top, green industry communication professionals, who bring awareness to products and services to their consumer audiences. The conference also serves to provide professional development courses, educational sessions on relevant industry trends and networking opportunities for those in need of communications support.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Garden Center Conference & Expo as this event brings together garden center owners who want to drive their businesses, and GardenComm communicators who can help support their marketing programs with trusted content from skilled communication professionals,” says GardenComm President Maria Zampini. “Our members are a vital resource who can effectively drive demand for products at the garden centers as well as communicate about new plants and products from the exhibitors at this event.”
